MoU with Dreamspace

September 2026 | Bengaluru, India

General Datum signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dream Aerospace at Bengaluru Space Expo (BSX) 2026, held from September 7–9 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru. The collaboration aims to advance satellite propulsion technologies through joint efforts in propulsion demonstration, system integration, and validation for future CubeSat and small-satellite missions.

The agreement brings together General Datum’s expertise in spacecraft engineering, satellite technologies, and systems integration with Dream Aerospace’s capabilities in propulsion system development, creating opportunities for collaborative technology demonstration and mission-oriented engineering.

Advancing Satellite Propulsion Integration and Validation

Under the MoU, General Datum and Dream Aerospace intend to explore technical collaboration in the development and demonstration of propulsion solutions for upcoming satellite missions.

The partnership will focus on three key areas:

  • Propulsion Demonstration: Exploring opportunities to demonstrate propulsion technologies suitable for CubeSat and small-satellite applications.
  • System Integration: Assessing the integration of propulsion systems with satellite platforms, including mechanical, electrical, and mission-level compatibility.
  • Testing and Validation: Undertaking collaborative testing and verification activities to evaluate system performance, reliability, and readiness for future missions.

These efforts aim to address important engineering challenges involved in integrating propulsion technologies into compact spacecraft platforms.

MoU Signed at Bengaluru Space Expo 2026

The MoU was signed by Manikandan Selvaraj, Senior Manager, General Datum, and Hari Krishnan KJ, Founder, CEO & CTO, Dream Aerospace, in the presence of representatives from both organisations.

The signing at Bengaluru Space Expo 2026 marked the beginning of a technical collaboration focused on advancing indigenous satellite propulsion and engineering capabilities.

Strengthening India’s Indigenous Space Technology Ecosystem

As India’s private space sector expands, collaborations between spacecraft engineering companies and propulsion technology developers are becoming increasingly important for enabling technically capable and mission-ready satellite systems.

General Datum provides engineering and product development solutions across spacecraft structures, satellite subsystems, electronics, embedded systems, simulation, systems integration, and assembly, integration, and testing (AIT).

Through its collaboration with Dream Aerospace, the company seeks to combine these capabilities with specialised propulsion expertise to explore integrated solutions for future small-satellite missions.

Supporting the Next Generation of Satellite Missions

The partnership reflects General Datum’s continued focus on indigenous technology development, engineering collaboration, and supporting India’s emerging space missions.

By working together on propulsion demonstration, integration, and validation, General Datum and Dream Aerospace aim to establish a foundation for future technical milestones and potential mission applications.

The MoU represents an opportunity for both organisations to contribute their complementary capabilities towards advancing India’s next generation of satellite technologies.
