The Rotary Club of General Datum has launched “Cup of Dal,” a Service Project initiative aimed at addressing protein deficiency in the community.
The project focuses on collecting and distributing dal as an accessible and essential source of nutrition, encouraging continuous contributions from members and the wider community.
The initiative was officially introduced during the Club Assembly on November 13, 2025, where its vision of building a long-term nutrition support system was shared.
As part of its first contribution, approximately 50 kg of toor dal was donated to Sparsh Hospice. Rotary members, along with their families, personally visited the hospice to hand over the donation, reflecting a hands-on and compassionate approach to service.
The “Cup of Dal” initiative aims to expand its reach and continue providing essential nutritional support, staying true to the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.”
